Second night in a row without a screening! But no day is without movie thoughts. I walked around all day with the theme music to The Avengers in my head. Later, at Shalimar, J.B. suggested we needed a chart of 60s spy characters which graphed them on a scale from Serious to Humorous. Post-dinner, instead of watching a movie, I wasted some time online Googling 60s spy pages. It turns out that someone at Wikipedia has categorized spy films as Realistic, Fantasy, or Parody, however the list is not confined to the 60s, nor is it comprehensive as it leaves out vast numbers of 60s-vintage Eurospy films. But it's a start.

Much more about spies shortly, as I've been screening not only The Avengers but also Patrick McGoohan's series Danger Man (aka Secret Agent) over the last few months.
