I am at all times impatient when the values "good" and "bad" are used in reference to art. "Good" and "bad" are qualities of dairy products, not films. To fans of Jesus Franco's films, the concepts are utterly useless. I'll come back to this when the moment is right. It is not yet time to talk about Jesus Franco's films. Thoughts abound, but the subject demands its own language.
In the meantime, it is possible to approach Franco in fragments. It may even be that such an approach to Franco is the preferred mode of discourse. We'll see.
